Custom Design
Although we do a lot of typical jewelry store stuff here at Dutille’s, your custom design project from start to finish, is our primary
focus. We believe that proper communication is the key to a successful custom design project and we pride ourselves in being able
to take the, "what if I don't like it", question out of the equation.

Step 2 - Design

This can be done as a continuation of the consultation or we may ask you to return to allow us time to refine your design. We have
a lot of tools at our disposal to facilitate the communication between the designer and client. Depending on the complexity of the
design, we will provide either a finished drawing, a 2D computerized picture or a full 3D computerized image. Whatever medium is
used to communicate your design we will only proceed with your project after you approve its final design.

Step 3 – Creation

The complexity of your design will dictate the method of manufacture that we use to bring your project to completion. It may be cast
from a wax prototype that we hand carve or from a milled prototype using Cad/Cam technology. We may hand fabricate it in the
Old-World way from precious metal sheet, stock or wire. We can add hand engraved designs or hand-made filigree elements. Your
design may dictate that we use a combination of any of those techniques to bring your design vision to life.

At Dutille's, your custom jewelry can come in many levels and prices ranges. From simple and classic jewelry assembled from
standardized parts, to lost wax castings, to the high end hand fabricated and engraved jewelry. We can create a new piece of
jewelry using your diamonds or other gemstones, or we can provide those for you. We can also take your old, rarely worn jewelry,
and use it to create a new piece of jewelry that you will be proud to wear every day. Our craftsmen are capable of providing you with
the unique handcrafted jewelry at the price level you are comfortable with, which reflects your personal taste and style.
Step 1 - Consultation

Where does your inspiration to create a beautiful piece of custom
jewelry come from? What design elements are important to you?
The first step in the design process involves a lot of questions. We
will then make some basic pencil sketches to help communicate
the initial design to start the process.
